Lesson Program

Our lesson program services beginner and advanced riders, both children and adults. Academy instructors help students reach their goals while assessing their strengths, weaknesses and guiding them along their horsemanship journey. Our ultimate goals is to provide a safe and welcoming environment to build our students' confidence and help them reach their goals.


Session 1: January 4th-February 26th | Off week: March 1st-March 5th

Session 2: March 8th-April 30th | Off week: May 3rd-May 7th

Session 3: May 10th-July 2nd | Off Week: July 5th-July 9th

Session 4: July 12th-September 3rd | Off week: September 6th-September 10th

Session 5: September 13th-November 5th | Off week: November 8th-November 12th

Session 6: November 15th-December 17th

The Academy works on 8 week cycles. We operate for 8 weeks, and then there is a 1 week break. If your requested date/time are available on the lesson schedule, you will be enrolled in the Academy. Under certain circumstances it is possible to be enrolled in the middle of a session. 


Admittance is granted on a first come first serve basis.

If your requested date/time is not available on the academy schedule, you will be placed on the waitlist and contacted as soon as your requested time becomes available. 

Applications are reviewed Mondays and Thursdays.

Single Lessons (per rider)

1/2 Hour Lesson - $30

1 Hour Lesson - $60

Monthly Lessons (1 lesson a week/per rider)

1/2 Hour Lessons - $100/month

1 Hour Lessons - $200/month

Once you fill out the application, please allow a response time of 2-3 business days. Do not complete the application more than once!

Academy Lesson Program Policies:

  • Lessons will average one hour or half an hour including grooming, tacking, and riding.

  • All lessons must be paid for in full prior to, or the day before the scheduled for the month to remain on the roster. Invoices are sent out prior to all booked lessons.

  • There will be no limit to the number of lessons per month. Extra lessons per month will be given if desired, and if space is available. An invoice will be sent and must be paid prior to the lesson date.

  • Lessons will be scheduled based on Academy availability and rider availablility. In the event of bad or severe weather, lessons will be cancelled and rescheduled at no expense to the rider.

  • To cancel a lesson, the instructor must be contacted *24 hours in advance* of the cancelled lesson, and a make up day will be scheduled, or a credit towards the following months bill will be given. Cancellations less than 24 hours will result in full charge for the lesson. Emergencies will be handled on a case by case basis.

  • If a rider is late to a lesson, the lesson will still end at the scheduled ending time of the original lesson, and the full amount will be charged.

  • There will be NO REFUNDS on a no call, no show. Full amount will be charged. 

  • Acceptable forms of payment are cash, check, or via online member's portal. Any bounced check will result in a $25.00 fee. 

  • Failure to meet any of the above requirements will result in termination of lessons.

  • CBC Equine Therapeutic Riding reserves the right to dismiss a student or amend the lesson requirements at any time.
